The questions that decide it
Fifteen questions, in the order clinics actually ask them, answered completely, including the four where the honest answer is that Klinira does not do the thing.

Common questions
What happens if the internet goes down?
Nothing, for most of the clinic. Registration, the queue, consultation notes, viewing records, printing and appointments all continue as normal, because they run on your clinic's own server. Dispensing and billing pause only if a workstation cannot reach that server. Stock levels and gapless invoice and register numbers must be allocated in one place.
What if the main computer breaks?
Make a second clinic computer one of your backup destinations and it holds a copy at most an hour old. Your staff install Klinira on it, enter the clinic code and the recovery key, restore that copy, and the other workstations find it again. That is a restore rather than one button — the one-button "make this computer the server" is designed and is not in version 1 — so rehearse it once on installation day while nothing is wrong. Klinira also runs a restore test on itself every ninety days, so you learn that backups work before you need them.
Where is my data, and who can read it?
On an encrypted database on a computer in your clinic. Backups are encrypted before they leave the building, and the key that opens them is yours alone. We hold no part of it, so we cannot decrypt your backups. Not that we promise not to. We cannot. The cost of that is worth knowing now: it is printed on two sheets the day we install, one for your safe and one to keep outside the building, and if both are lost nobody can open those files, including us.
If I stop subscribing, what happens to my data?
It stays on your computer and you can export all of it. Export works in every licence state. Trial, active, expired, read-only, locked. Your clinic has a statutory duty to keep patient records, so we lock features and never lock data. That is enforced by a test in our build, not by a promise on a website.
Can I export all my data?
Yes, always, in every licence state, in open formats. CSV for tables and PDF for documents.
How long does installation take? Do I need to close the clinic?
About two hours for a three-computer clinic, and no, you do not need to close. Most clinics install after the last patient or on a half day. Importing data from an old system adds time depending on how clean that data is.
Can I move data from my old system?
Patient demographics, allergies and current medications import readily from most systems. Historical clinical notes import as attached documents rather than as structured notes, because reconstructing another system's structure usually invents detail that was not there.
Do I need to buy new computers?
Usually not. Any Windows 10 or 11 PC from the last few years is enough, and the server PC only needs to stay switched on during clinic hours. We do not sell hardware, so there is nothing further to buy from us. A clinic with a single computer needs somewhere off that machine for its copies to go, which in practice means an external drive of about RM 150 or a folder in the clinic's own Google Drive or OneDrive.
How many workstations can I use?
Up to eight on the subscription plans, and there is no per-doctor or per-user charge that climbs as you hire.
I have three branches, how does that work?
One licence per premises. This is not a pricing tactic: the Prescription Book and psychotropic register must be kept at the premises where the medicine was supplied, so they cannot lawfully be merged into one register across branches.
Do you submit panel claims directly?
No, and no other vendor in Malaysia does either. TPAs do not open their systems to third-party software. What Klinira does is the part nobody covers: telling you what is unpaid, what was short-paid, and when a query deadline is about to close.
Do you send e-Invoices to LHDN automatically?
No, and version 1 does not produce the file either. Neither the API nor a MyInvois batch file is in this release. What is here is the part underneath it: service tax per line, the consultation kept separate, and a gapless invoice series. If e-Invoice is why you are buying, wait for the next release or buy elsewhere.
What if I am not happy with it?
The trial is 14 days with no card required, which is the point at which you should decide. After that, subscriptions can be cancelled and your data exports in full.
Is training included?
Yes, and at no extra cost: one session per role during installation: counter, doctor, dispensing and owner. Printed quick reference cards for each role, and the support guides are public and need no login.
When is support available?
Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, by WhatsApp, phone and email. We would rather publish an hour anybody can hold us to than claim 24/7 and answer at noon the next day.
Take a place in the first installs
Klinira is being built now. Leave your details and you will hear what is finished, be asked what your clinic actually needs, and get the first install dates when it is ready.
