e-Invoice for clinics
LHDN's e-Invoice regime is being phased in by annual turnover, so smaller clinics are brought into scope later than large ones — and a clinic can meet the requirement by generating a MyInvois batch file rather than keying up to 55 fields per invoice by hand.
Bill finalised — validated for MyInvois
e-Invoice fields complete| Item | Qty | Tax | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| ConsultationShown separately — exemption applies | 1 | Exempt | 35.00 |
| Amoxicillin 250mg | 15 | 6% | 22.00 |
| Dressing, small | 1 | 6% | 15.00 |
What actually has to happen
Each invoice must reach MyInvois with a defined set of fields — supplier and buyer identification, item lines, tax treatment and totals. There are two ways to do that: type it into the portal, or generate a file and upload it. For a clinic issuing forty invoices a day, only the second is realistic.
Validate early, not at month end
The costly failure is discovering at the end of the period that three hundred invoices are missing a buyer identifier. Klinira validates when the bill is finalised, so a missing field surfaces while the patient is still at the counter and can still be asked.
What to prepare now, whether or not you are in scope
- Your clinic's TIN and business registration details, correct and consistent
- A decision on how you capture buyer details for corporate and panel patients
- Item and service codes that map cleanly to your price list
- A consistent way of splitting consultation from treatment on the invoice
Watch it survive an outage
Leave your details and we will show you the clinic running with the network cable pulled out — registering patients, writing notes, printing labels.
