e-Invoice for clinics
LHDN's e-Invoice regime is being phased in by annual turnover, so smaller clinics are brought into scope later than large ones. This page explains what the obligation actually is and what to get ready now. Klinira version 1 does not produce the file, and that is stated here rather than at the bottom.

What actually has to happen
Each invoice must reach MyInvois with a defined set of fields. Supplier and buyer identification, item lines, tax treatment and totals. There are two ways to do that: type it into the portal, or generate a file and upload it. For a clinic issuing forty invoices a day, only the second is realistic.
Where Klinira stands today
Version 1 generates no e-Invoice: not a MyInvois file, and not an API submission. A clinic in scope keys its invoices into the portal, exactly as it would with no software at all. Saying that plainly costs us sales to clinics buying for this one reason, and we would rather lose those than have somebody discover it at the end of a period.
What version 1 does give you is the part that has to be right before any file can be produced, and the part a clinic cannot fix retrospectively: service tax worked out per line with the consultation kept separate, one gapless invoice series, and the clinic's registration and tax numbers captured at setup. A clinic running on Klinira today is in a better position on the day it does become due, not a worse one.
What to prepare now, whether or not you are in scope
- Your clinic's TIN and business registration details, correct and consistent
- A decision on how you capture buyer details for corporate and panel patients
- Item and service codes that map cleanly to your price list
- A consistent way of splitting consultation from treatment on the invoice
